Taylor Swift, the rarest pop sensation, is one who managed to move from the country genre to mainstream pop culture and become an idol of the pop world. She also conquered every continent through her music. Swift left country music like it was another layer of herself, proving that she's perhaps the most intelligent pop singer/songwriter of her time. One who can harness the zeitgeist to make it personal and also be able to perform at the opposite. This was evident in her first hits, particularly the neo-tribute Tim McGraw but her second album, 2008's Fearless showed a writer discovering the person she really was, and, in doing so, gaining a mass audience. The album was a huge success, not just on American soil, with six platinum-certified songs. The Top Ten songs Love Story & the hit song You Belong with Me were the most important reasons. However, it did very well across the globe. The Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago consolidated her previous success, and catapulted Swift into the spotlight. The singer's popularity increased through her three subsequent albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift was now firmly established within the genre she was a part of. As she cut her style with the stripped-down releases of 2020, folklore and Evermore however, she remained on top. This position was maintained by re-recordings from her past catalog, as well as Midnights the synth-based chart-topper 2022 album.
