Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk has been an actress, director, producer, playwright as well as an educator for St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton. She is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is a "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" who hails originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of plays as a child and watching her mom doing her job. Anna appeared in several advertisements in her youth.
