Her acting career began in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Her fight to secure an appearance for Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was a gruelling battle. It was a hard time for her to make the transition from modeling to acting since models were not believed to be actors and tended to be granted smaller, insignificant roles.
