Laura Vandervoort

In 1997, she made her acting debut when she was 13. Following a series of courses and carrying out background work for Canadian series like Road to Avonlea and Harriet the Spy In 1997, she landed her first speaking role in the Canadian children's horror anthology series Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of The Dark?, both series were aired by YTV. "2" Following commercials, she played a the role she played in Goosebumps as well as other movies, including The Dresden Files (Mom's had the Date with a Vampire, Alley Cats Strike, Prom Queen, The Marc Hall Story) Vandervoort got her first major role on CTV's popular teen drama Instant Star. The series lasted four seasons. Two years later, Vandervoort played her debut feature film titled The Lookout alongside Jeff Daniels, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Matthew Goode, and Isla Fisher. Vandervoort was cast in Smallville which is a series on The CW. Her character in the show is that of Clark Kent's Kryptonian "Kara Kent" as the character that will eventually be Supergirl. The season 7 episode was the first time she was a series regular. In season 7, she was in "Bloodline" episode, which was the eighth season's episode. The show returned to Smallville for two episodes of the season's final and was also her tenth. After The CW and Smallville, Vandervoort then shot the sequel in the feature film Into the Blue titled Into the Blue 2: The Reef. The Jazzman was her next independent film.
